Mrs. Angela Musgrove

Chairman

Angela born and raised in the Turks & Caicos Islands, a trained teacher, with post-graduate qualifications in finance, she has made her contribution to education and youth development in various roles within the education sector and through her tenure as Director of Youth Affairs.

​

Passionate about nation building, she is excited about her new career path as she currently serves as SVP-Investor Services at Invest Turks & Caicos. Mother, wife, entrepreneur and mentor, she enjoys simple pleasures, including family time, reading, and word games, she considers her work with Junior Achievement one of the most rewarding ways to volunteer- you cannot build a nation without first empowering its people!

Mrs. Karen Lawson

Director

A Canadian by birth Karen, has lived in Turks & Caicos, since 1999. She holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree from Queens University in Kingston Ontario.

​

Her professional career includes human resource management

compensation, planning, executive board strategic planning and administration.

​

She has contributed extensive volunteer hours to organizations including a number of schools within TCI, the Rotary Club of TC, and the Youth Center.

Mrs. Wendy Hill

Director/Treasurer

Wendy is one of the Co-founders of Junior Achievement TCI program through the Chamber of Commerce which has been running for four years in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

​

She and her husband moved from Ontario Canada, since 2001 and called these Islands home. She oversees our financials as Treasurer.

She now enjoys retirement and is dedicated to making sure this program is offered to every student across the Islands.

She encourages students to enroll into Junior Achievement program to learn how to gain knowledge and skills for becoming an entrepreneur.

Mrs. Cathrice Williams

Director/Secretary

Born and raised in Grand Turk. Upon receiving her Masters Degrees in Networking and Communication Management, and Business Administration, Cathrice joined the TCI Financial Services Commission where she currently serves as the Director of Information Technology.

 

From a teenager, Cathrice was a part of many committees and groups that uplifted and empowered the youth of Grand Turk. Youth work is her passion. She counts it a privilege to continue working with young people as a Director of the Board for Junior Achievement. Cathrice has been a Board Director since 2012, when it was operating as “Young Enterprise”.

 

Cathrice also sits on the Turks and Caicos Softball Federation Board.

Ms. Stacy Ann Lawrence

Director

An educator by profession, who has over fifteen years of teaching experience at the primary, secondary and tertiary level. Stacy-Ann holds a Bachelor of Education in Business Studies and a Masters in Business Administration - major in Finance. She joined the TCI Community College family in September 2009, and is currently the Deputy Chair of the Business Department.

 

An advocate for entrepreneurship, Stacy-Ann believes that children should be introduced to an environment of creativity from an early age so that innovation becomes a part of them. Once this becomes ‘second nature’, our community, economy and country will reap the benefits.

Mrs. Sophia Thomas

Director

Mrs. Sophia Thomas hails from North Caicos. Her work experiences focused on the empowerment of individuals and with working with various charities.  She is the Director of the  Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (CED).  Her designations includes a   BB Ed.,  MBA, CTC and CBSOMC.   She is married with two children.

Ms. Roxann Wake Forbes

Director

Born in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Roxann Wake-Forbes left for the UK at the age of 10 where she completed her primary and secondary education. She went on to gain her degree and Masters in Psychology and in 2007 she returned home and began working as Psychologist for the Turks and Caicos Government.

 

In 2011, she opened her own practice, where she offers a range of counseling and psychological services to children and adults.

 

Alongside her private practice, Roxann is the Director of the Edward Gartland Youth Centre. The centre provides extracurricular activities to young persons in a safe and nurturing environment. Having specialized in the development of children and adolescents whilst in the UK, her expertise helps to ensure a holistic approach to the health and well being of the centre members.

 

Roxann sits on many committees and gives countless hours to the causes she is passionate about including the Provo Children’s Home and the Turks and Caicos AIDS Awareness Foundation.

 

Roxann enjoys playing tennis, reading and spending time with her son.

Ms Jasmine Parker

Director

Originally from the Island of Grand Turk Jasmine Parker has over 15 years’ experience working with youth in TCI. Her career started as an Environment Officer where she was involved with environmental education, organizing environmental summer camps, community outreach and assisting with scientific research with the Department of Environment and Coastal Resources.

​

She later broaden her love for youth by focusing on youth development and empowerment and focusing on programs that give youth the necessary tools to succeed in life.  As the National Youth Director it gives her great satisfaction and fulfillment to see the success in the many programs that have been geared towards the youth of TCI.

​

Ms. Parker enjoys living a holistic lifestyle, living green and empowering others to bring out their inner strength. She volunteers her time between the TCI Redcross, TCI Diabetic Association, and Soroptimist.
